Grande Prairie, AB – Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) is providing the following daily report for Thursday, April 22, 2021 of a single COVID-19 case on a bus. The affected schools have sent letters to their families.
Out of respect for the individual who tested positive for COVID-19, and in accordance with AHS guidelines, no further information will be shared about the case. PWPSD and the affected schools wish the individual a safe and speedy recovery, and will continue to work closely with AHS to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all students and staff. Remote learning opportunities will be provided to isolating students. The affected bus has been disinfected. AHS is expected to provide all close contacts with further direction on testing and isolation instructions.
Case report for Thursday, April 22, 2021:
- A single case on a bus, affecting a group of students from three schools. The case was last on the bus on Friday, April 16.
- Wembley Elementary School close contacts will isolate until Friday, April 30 (close contact on April 15) or Saturday, May 1 (close contact on April 16).
- Helen E. Taylor School close contacts will isolate until Friday, April 30 (close contact on April 15).
- Beaverlodge Regional High School close contacts will isolate until Friday, April 30 (close contact on April 15).
